Overview

This is the provincial AHS guideline which outlines the approach recommended by the PADIS Medical Toxicologists in treating acetaminophen poisoning. An individualized approach to treating acetaminophen poisoning is recommended to ensure that therapy is not terminated while the patient is still at risk for hepatic injury.

In the event of a discrepancy between this guideline and your provincial or territorial parenteral monograph, please follow the instructions in your monograph.
